Location from Smithy Cottage

Smithy Cottage is easy to find as it is located next to the turning for the Kylerhea ferry just before the village of Glenelg. If travelling towards Skye on the A87 from Fort William or Inverness turn left at Shiel Bridge onto the old military road. This road is signposted to Glenelg and the Skye ferry.

Follow this road over the steep Mam Ratagan pass for about 9 miles and on a clear day it is worth stopping at the viewpoints to admire the Five Sisters of Kintail. Descend down Glen More past the turn offs to Moyle and Scallasaig until you reach the ferry road junction.

Smithy Cottage is the semi detached cottage on the left with a parking space outside. Access to the cottage is through the wooden gate on the left near the conservatory.
